Glass-front kennels, real comfort

Our main boarding room holds 20 custom Gator kennels with glass fronts, in a range of sizes to fit every dog — from a single small pup to housemates boarding together. The whole 2,700 sq ft facility is climate-controlled, and we provide bedding and bowls for every guest.

  • Complimentary daycare included — every boarding stay comes with full daycare play at no extra charge.
  • 4–5 yard sessions daily in the 10,000 sq ft fenced play yard.
  • Social or solo play — your choice. Dogs are always supervised in the play area.
  • Your food, your routine. We feed twice daily per your instructions. Forgot food? We provide it for $5/day per pet.
  • Free medication administration up to 3× per day.
  • Owners live on-site with 24-hour security — your pet is never left alone overnight.

Boarding Policies

Boarding comes with complimentary daycare — daycare is not an expensive add-on like you may encounter at other boarding facilities. The policies below apply to every boarding stay; tap any section for details.

Reservations & required paperwork
  • Reservations are required for all boarding guests, and a card must be on file for every boarding reservation. We do usually have space for some day-boarding requests.
  • Reservations are NOT required for daycare and day-stay services, though we recommend calling during major holidays to check availability.
  • Before leaving your pet, the following must be on file: proof of current vaccinations (absolutely no guest, for any service, is admitted without current vaccines), plus a completed Policies form, Pet Profile, and Grooming & Boarding Agreement. Missing paperwork may result in a cancelled stay.
Vaccination requirements

Proof of vaccinations from your pet's veterinarian is required for stay services — this includes cats. Bordetella must be administered before arrival, and all vaccinations must be given at least ONE week before the stay. Puppies and kittens must be 4 months of age or older with their full vaccine series completed.

  • Dogs: Rabies (1 or 3 year) · DHLPP (1 year, basic yearly vaccines) · Bordetella (every 6 months or 1 year, depending on the vaccine provided)
  • Cats: Rabies (1 or 3 year) · FVRCP (1 year)
Drop-off, pickup & checkout times
  • Drop-offs and pickups are available daily at scheduled times, which can vary. Check-in is no earlier than 7:30 AM.
  • Checkout is 12:00 PM. Pickups after 12:00 PM and before 3:00 PM add a half day of daycare to the stay; after 3:00 PM and before 5:30 PM, a full day of daycare.
  • Last pickup is 5:30 PM Monday–Thursday and 4:00 PM on Fridays. Guests not picked up by last pickup roll into a new night of boarding (including that day's daycare), with pickup available until 12:00 PM the next morning at no additional fee.
  • Weekends: boarding drop-off/pickup windows are Saturday 10:00–11:00 AM and Sunday 3:00–4:00 PM. Daycare fees and checkout times do not apply on weekends. If your pet isn't picked up or dropped off during the designated window, you'll need to wait until the next business day during operating hours. Grooming is closed on weekends.
Holidays & peak periods
  • Boarding is available 365 days a year, including New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
  • Over these holidays and surrounding periods, a minimum 2-night stay is required, and public daycare may not be available due to boarding volume.
  • The lobby is closed on certain holidays, meaning no pickups or drop-offs on those days.
Food, toys & belongings
  • Please bring your pet's food in a container, bag, or individual baggies to keep them on their regular diet and avoid an upset stomach. Label food in zip-lock bags marked AM & PM — we feed twice daily. If you don't bring food, we provide it at $5 per day per pet.
  • Each pet has a 14"×18" cubby for food and belongings; everything must fit in the cubby. Small food bags are fine, but absolutely no large bags or storage containers.
  • Toys and treats in good condition are welcome. We provide bedding and bowls for all guests.
  • The Paw Haven is not liable for tracking/GPS collars left on at drop-off — dogs play with their mouths, which can knock these collars loose.
Health, medications & safety
  • Guests must have been in good health for the 30 days before arrival. We perform health checks on all incoming guests; failure to notify staff of health issues may result in a cancelled service and a cancellation charge.
  • We administer medication up to 3 times per day, free of charge. Guests with 3+ medications must be cleared by a manager first.
  • For safety, we cannot board pets with incontinence, severe lack of mobility, epilepsy, or diabetes — including dogs on seizure medication and some heart medications. We recommend veterinary boarding for these pets.
  • We recommend all guests be on monthly flea and tick preventative. If fleas or ticks are found, the pet will be bathed and given a flea treatment at the owner's expense.
  • If your pet has recently, or ever, been in a scuffle or fight, please let staff know so we can observe all dog behavior closely.
Cancellations & refusal of service
  • Boarding: must be cancelled at least 3 days before the arrival date (both non-peak and peak/holiday periods). Cancellations within the 3-day window are charged half the price of the reservation.
  • Grooming: must be cancelled at least 24 hours before arrival. Later cancellations or no-shows are charged 50% of the scheduled service.
  • The Paw Haven reserves the right to refuse admittance to any pet, for any reason, at any time — including guests without adequate vaccine documentation, showing signs of illness, demonstrating aggressive behavior, or not meeting our temperament and safety requirements.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice.

What to bring & how it works

1. Reserve ahead

Reservations are required for boarding, with a card on file. Holidays require a 2-night minimum and book up early.

2. Paperwork on file

Current vaccination records, a Pet Profile, our Policies form, and the Grooming & Boarding Agreement — all before drop-off.

3. Pack light

Bring individual feedings in labeled zip-lock bags (AM & PM). Each pet gets a 14"×18" cubby — no large bags or containers, please. Toys and treats are welcome, but leave sentimental items home.

4. Drop-off & pickup

Check-in is scheduled, starting at 7:30 AM. Checkout is by 12:00 PM — after that, standard daycare rates apply for the day.

A note on special-needs pets: for their safety, we can't board pets with incontinence, severe mobility issues, epilepsy/seizure medication, diabetes, or some heart medications — a veterinary boarding facility is the right fit for those guests. Pets on 3+ medications need manager approval first. Puppies must be at least 4 months old and current on vaccines.
